What I can do now!?

I’ve been thinking of what I can do for my country besides praying and donating since earthquake and tsunami hit..

Since I’ve moved to Kansas City 4 months ago, I’ve been having a hard time adjusting here. Giving up what I established in my country for 31 years to be with husband is not easy thing to do. But people in Northern part of Japan Had to give up so much so suddenly. For my case, it was my choice to give up for a NEW life. For victims of terrible tragedy in Japan, that wasn’t their choice to give up on their family, friends, house, jobs even hometown.

In the past few weeks, I felt terrible when I ate, laugh and went out. My people in Japan were suffering so much. There are so many people who can eat only one rice ball a day. Sleep in school gymnasiums with hundreds of strangers. No enough medical treatment. Feel so terrible by their loss. Some of my good friends drove up disaster affected area to help… Compare to their agonies, my struggle for life isn’t anything.

Thankfully my families and friends are fine in Tokyo. I have enough clothes to wear. I can eat every day. I can take a bath every night. I felt so guilty to fun life like that if I know there are so many victims who cannot do what I am doing now.

However I finally realized it. Stop being so miserable or cry over for them, apple! It’s good to have a heart for sympathy and desires to help!! But right now, My job is being healthy. Eat well. Sleep well. Be prepared for the future. I still believe I am called to do something or minister in my country in the near future. Even for a short time or a long time, I want to be ready for the time God truly uses me for them.

Crying for their situation doesn’t help or save anybody. My work and smile could bring joy to people. So I’ve been trying to maintain my both mental and physical health to pray so hard and for the time I’m called to do whatever God tells me.

Here is a video from Ishinomaki, Japan where Calvary Tohoku Relief is working and helping the people. This is one of the ways your donations are directly helping the people.

  1. I'm very happy to see this!! one thing you can most definitely do is help to raise awareness here in America about what is really going on back in Japan with this. I'm proud of you. :)
